Job summary

Albany Medical College is seeking general Gastroenterologists to join the Division of Gastroenterology in the capital region of New York. The team handles a broad mix of complex GI patients from across northeastern New York, offering opportunities for teaching, research and clinical leadership.

You will work in an endoscopy suite with state-of-the-art technology and anesthesia support, collaborate with surgeons, radiologists and GI pathologists, and participate in scholarly work while delivering

Qualifications

• MD or DO with board certification in Internal Medicine and board eligibility or board certification in Gastroenterology.
• Experience in diagnosing and managing a broad range of gastrointestinal conditions.
• Active and unrestricted medical license or eligibility for licensure in New York State.
• Strong dedication to providing high-quality, patient centered care across diverse populations.

Responsibilities

• Work in an endoscopy suite with state-of-the-art diagnostic and therapeutic technologies, with anesthesia support.
• Collaborate with colorectal, oncologic and trauma surgeons, interventional radiologists, pediatric gastroenterologists, GI pathologists and an on-site infusion clinic.
• Perform various endoscopic procedures.
• Teach medical students, residents and fellows.
• Conduct research and scholarly work.

Education
