Job summary

Qualifications

• US citizenship required; non-citizens only if VA policy allows.
• MD or equivalent in allopathic/osteopathic medicine.
• Current full and unrestricted medical license in US or DC.
• Residency training leading to board certification eligibility.
• ACGME/AOA approved residencies or equivalent pathways.
• Board certification preferred for faculty status.
• Proficiency in spoken and written English.

Responsibilities

• Manage diagnostic, preventive and therapeutic GI services.
• Perform upper and lower endoscopy with bleeding control and polypectomy.
• Collaborate with health professionals across the medical center; provide consultations.
• Supervise, mentor and teach graduates including GI fellows and residents.
