Job summary

PAGNY is adding a Gastroenterologist to NYC Health + Hospitals/Kings County in Brooklyn. The physician will oversee fellows, mentor students and residents, and provide GI care in inpatient/outpatient settings.

The role includes endoscopy supervision, weekend/evening call duties, and a possible SUNY Downstate academic appointment, with a comprehensive benefits package and loan-repayment options.

Qualifications

• Current NY State registration (or the ability to obtain)
• Board Certified/Board Eligible in Gastroenterology

Responsibilities

• Supervise fellows in evaluating and examining patients, developing treatment plans and follow-up care
• Supervise or perform endoscopic procedures (colonoscopies/endoscopies) in a state-of-the-art suite
• Provide weekend and evening call coverage supervising GI fellows on a 1-in-8 schedule
• Supervise and mentor medical students and medicine residents on gastroenterology service
• Accept an Academic Appointment at SUNY Downstate Medical Center
