Job summary

Ascension Medical Group Via Christi on Founders' Circle – Gastroenterology in Wichita, KS is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Physician to evaluate, diagnose, and treat GI, liver, pancreatic, and digestive disorders in an outpatient clinic, with endoscopic procedures including colonoscopy and upper endoscopy.

Join an established team of physicians and APPs with call structure, employed within a nonprofit health system, requiring Kansas licensure and DEA registration.

Qualifications

• Licensed physician with MD or DO degree required.
• Board certification or eligibility in Family Medicine/GI preferred.
• Current medical license and DEA registration in good standing.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive evaluation, diagnosis and treatment of GI, liver, pancreatic, and digestive disorders in outpatient clinic setting.
• Perform endoscopic procedures including colonoscopy and upper endoscopy.
• Develop individualized treatment plans and coordinate care with primary care physicians, surgeons, hospitalists, and other specialists.
• Maintain timely, accurate documentation to support clinical care, compliance, and reimbursement requirements.

This job location is currently located in a Health Professional Shortage Areas (HPSAs) and/or Medically Underserved Areas/Populations (MUA/P) Shortage Designation Type.

How you’ll make an impact in this role

• Join an established team of 3 physicians and 3 APPs

• Call structure: 1:4 M-TH and 1:8 weekends

• Practice setting: outpatient clinic and endoscopy suite

• Access to Support staff

• Employed position within a nonprofit health system

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine

• Eligible for state medical licensure and DEA registration

• Provide comprehensive evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of gastrointestinal, liver, pancreatic, and digestive disorders in an outpatient clinic setting.

• Perform endoscopic procedures including colonoscopy, upper endoscopy, and GI procedures

• Develop individualized treatment plans and coordinate care with primary care physicians, surgeons, hospitalists, and other specialists.

• Maintain timely, accurate documentation to support clinical care, compliance, and reimbursement requirements

What minimum requirements you’ll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• Physician MD/DO credentialed from the Kansas Board of Healing Arts obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

Education:

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) required.
