Job summary

Ascension Medical Group Via Christi in Wichita, KS is seeking an OBGYN physician for a full-time employed position within a busy, well-regarded practice. You will work with a strong referral base and the full resources of a large health system, with incentives and relocation support.

The role requires board certification or eligibility in OBGYN, Kansas medical licensure, and DEA registration, with opportunities to advance patient care and professional growth within Ascension's mission-driven

• Licensed to practice medicine in Kansas prior to hire.
• Eligible for DEA registration in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Join an established team of 6 physicians and 3 APPs.
• Call structure: 1:6 EMTALA/Gynecology only.
• Practice setting: Outpatient.
• Access to Robotics for Gynecology cases.
• Lead collaborative efforts to improve quality and cost-effectiveness.
• Cultivate and maintain relationships by accepting referrals.

This job location is currently located in a Health Professional Shortage Areas (HPSAs) and/or Medically Underserved Areas/Populations (MUA/P) Shortage Designation Type.

• Employed position within a nonprofit health system
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in OBGYN
• Eligible for state medical licensure and DEA registration
• Lead collaborative efforts to continuously improve the quality and cost-effectiveness of care delivered, contributing to system-wide excellence.
• Cultivate and maintain strong relationships by accepting patient referrals from internal and external physician colleagues.

• 250-bed hospital with tunnel access from Outpatient Clinic
• Serving a population of approximately 500K

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• Physician MD/DO credentialed from the Kansas Board of Healing Arts obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

Education

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) required.
