Job summary

Essenti Talent is partnering with a well-established Northwest Indiana healthcare provider to recruit a Gastroenterologist for a full-time, on-site role in Hobart, IN with a flexible schedule and a 1:7 call rotation.

You will diagnose and treat GI and hepatobiliary disorders, perform endoscopic procedures, coordinate care for chronic conditions like IBD and liver disease, and collaborate with surgery and primary care teams. Indiana license, CSR/DEA, and EPIC EMR experience are required.

Qualifications

• Board-certified or board-eligible with plan for certification within a specified timeframe.
• Possession of or eligibility for an unrestricted Indiana Medical License and CSR/DEA registration.
• Experience with or aptitude for utilizing EPIC EMR and AI-assisted documentation tools.
• Strong communication skills and proficiency with Electronic Medical Records (EMR).

Responsibilities

• Provide diagnostic and treatment services for GI and hepatobiliary disorders.
• Clinic patients per day: 20-30.
• Hospital patients per day: 10-15.
• Call Rotation: 1:7.
• Perform routine and advanced endoscopic procedures in outpatient or hospital settings.
• Coordinate longitudinal care for chronic GI conditions like IBD and liver disease.
• Collaborate with surgical and primary care teams for integrated treatment plans and timely screenings.

Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive diagnostic and treatment services for patients with a wide range of gastrointestinal and hepatobiliary (liver) disorders
• Clinic patients per day: 20-30
• Hospital patients per day: 10-15
• Call Rotation: 1:7
• Perform routine and advanced endoscopic procedures in an outpatient or hospital setting to diagnose and treat digestive diseases
• Manage a high-volume clinical practice, coordinating longitudinal care for chronic conditions like IBD and liver disease
• Work alongside surgical and primary care teams to ensure integrated treatment plans and timely screenings

Requirements:

• Board Certified or Board Eligible with a clear plan for certification within a specified timeframe.
• Possession of or eligibility for an unrestricted Indiana Medical License and CSR/DEA registration
• Experience with or aptitude for utilizing EPIC EMR and AI-assisted documentation tools
• Strong communication skills and proficiency with Electronic Medical Records (EMR)
