Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a detail-oriented GIS Specialist for a 1-year contract to support network mapping and as-built design updates in a utility-focused environment. The role emphasizes accuracy of spatial data, reviewing packages, and updating gas network assets.

The position focuses on service line work initially, with potential for broader GIS responsibilities and growth within the team as projects evolve. Strong communication and data integrity are essential.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of professional GIS experience.
• Proficiency with ArcGIS Pro and/or ArcGIS Desktop.
• Active TSA Precheck.
• Strong attention to detail and data accuracy.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience in Oil & Gas, Utilities, Telecommunications, or Railroad.

Responsibilities

• Review project packages and as-built documentation to accurately capture new network assets, update existing infrastructure, and retire abandoned or removed assets within GIS systems (Locusview).
• Validate and correct existing gas service data where location or attribute information is inaccurate.
• Support ongoing system updates to ensure data integrity across the network.
• Perform ad hoc updates and tasks (e.g., leak repair documentation updates) as directed.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely and accurate project execution.
