Job summary

SpaceX in Texas seeks a Sourcing Specialist for gas turbine power with 1+ year in procurement or 4+ years in related fields. You will create sourcing strategies, manage supplier performance, and lead cost-reduction projects supporting production, test and launch activities.

You will build relationships with engineering, facilities, and program teams; develop SLAs and KPIs; and ensure compliance with ITAR/EAR and quality standards while optimizing spend and supply continuity for critical systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 1+ year of experience in purchasing/contract negotiation/operations or 4+ years in related areas.
• Experience with gas turbine procurement, capital equipment, or service agreements preferred.
• Ability to read technical docs and align sourcing with engineering intent.

Responsibilities

• Create sourcing strategies for assigned categories to reduce risk and meet cost targets.
• Develop and maintain stakeholder relationships for strategic sourcing models.
• Present to decision makers on launch critical events and cost reduction opportunities.
• Define and manage category SLAs and KPIs for suppliers; monitor performance.
• Lead cost reduction projects and coordinate with engineering, facilities, and test teams.
