Job summary

GE Gas Turbines – Gas Turbine Engineering in Greenville, SC seeks a hands‑on Design Liaison Engineer to own flow path hardware, including blades, stators, vanes, heat shields, and related components. You will partner with suppliers, manufacturing, and global teams to resolve complex technical issues and improve manufacturability and cost.

The role requires a Mechanical Engineering degree or equivalent, experience with GD&T, BOMs, and CAD/analysis tools such as ANSYS and Siemens NX.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and disposition hardware deviations using engineering assessments and analytical tools.
• Provide design engineering support to suppliers and manufacturing teams.
• Own hardware redesign efforts and revise engineering drawings to improve manufacturability.
• Support qualification of new manufacturing processes, process changes, and second‑source suppliers.
• Conduct technical reviews and assess risks at component, assembly, and system levels.
• Support initiatives to reduce cost, scrap, and non‑conformances.
• Apply gas turbine design knowledge to improve part functionality, quality, and cost.
• Collaborate with global engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain teams to resolve complex technical issues.
• Maintain adherence to engineering standards, technical requirements, and design practices.
