Job summary

Morson Group seeks a Gas Turbine Design Liaison Engineering (DLE) engineer in Greenville, SC, onsite for a 1-year contract. You will contribute to the Gas Turbine Engineering (GTE) organization, ensuring high technical rigor while driving customer fulfillment with urgency.

You will provide technical ownership of gas turbine flow path hardware such as blades, stators, vanes, heat shields and assembly linkage.

Qualifications

• Must have ability to collaborate in a cross functional global organization.
• Must be able to rapidly shift day-to-day priorities based on emerging business needs.
• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Basic understanding of manufacturing processes, methods, materials, and coatings.
• Humility, openness, self-motivation and continuous learning.
• Proficient with MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Understanding of GD&T and interpretation of drawings and BOMs.

Responsibilities

• Leverage analytical tools to analyze and deliver solutions for deviant hardware and provide design support to prevent repeat incidents.
• Own hardware redesign efforts by revising drawings to enhance manufacturability.
• Act as technical focal for qualifications of new processes/changes and second source suppliers.
• Conduct technical reviews of design tasks and assess risks at component, assembly, and system levels.
• Follow standard work and design templates, contributing to process improvements in design and manufacturing.
• Ensure adherence to technical standards in design activities, maintaining quality and accuracy.
• Apply basic gas turbine design knowledge to support functionality improvements and cost reduction.
• Foster a positive environment, promoting quality and urgency in collaboration with supply chain.
