Job summary

PROENERGY is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join our Houston/Cincinnati team. You will design gas turbine parts and release drawings, performing hand calculations to assess risk and ensure manufacturability in partnership with manufacturing and supply chain.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering, 3–7 years of design experience, and strong collaboration with cross-functional teams. US work authorization is required; pre-employment checks apply.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering required.
• 3–7 years of mechanical design experience.
• Experience reviewing and releasing engineering drawings.

Responsibilities

• Design gas turbine parts for aeroderivative turbines.
• Release engineering drawings for production.
• Perform hand calculations to assess design risk.
• Interface with manufacturing, supply chain, and quality teams.
• Lead third-party design consultants as needed.
• Maintain compliance with engineering codes and standards.
