Job summary

WCL Group in Greenville, SC is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer II – Design Liaison Engineer, Qualification Support to own the qualification scope for gas turbine parts and to collaborate with manufacturing and quality teams to ensure robust, compliant qualifications.

You will review NCNs and SDRs and drive lean, cost-effective qualification processes. The role requires close cooperation with suppliers, factories, materials teams, and sourcing, in a safety-first culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related STEM field.
• Minimum of 4 years of relevant engineering experience.

Responsibilities

• Execute the Gas Turbine qualification strategy through Design Liaison Engineering (DLE) qualifications.
• Collaborate to apply design templates and QMS standards during qualification milestones.
• Review NCNs and SDRs and decide disposition while driving cost-efficient qualification.
• Design for producibility and lean flow to optimize manufacturing processes.
• Document each qualification step clearly and ensure safety-first mindset.
