Randstad USA is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer for a Greenville, SC client in the energy sector. You will drive gas turbine hardware design and qualification, championing zero-defect quality across production.

Requires a Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering and 4+ years of relevant experience; GD&T and design for manufacturability familiarity are preferred. The role is a contract position with a 8am–5pm schedule and competitive hourly pay.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related STEM field required.
• Minimum 4 years of relevant engineering experience.
• Experience with gas turbine hardware or rotating machinery design preferred.
• Familiarity with GD&T and engineering drawings; knowledge of lean manufacturing methods.

Responsabilidades

• Execute gas turbine qualification strategies and manage design liaison engineering qualifications and quality management processes.
• Collaborate with global supply chain, quality, design, materials, and sourcing teams to define and execute hardware qualification milestones.
• Apply lean manufacturing principles and design for producibility to optimize manufacturing, reduce costs, and foster a zero-defect culture.
• Manage disposition of unqualified hardware and resolve technical issues across internal factories and external suppliers.
• Maintain clear, accurate documentation of qualification steps with a safety-first mindset.
