Job summary

Hilcorp Energy Company seeks an Instrument/Turbine Tech for the North Slope, focusing on overhaul support for gas turbines, control systems, and PLC logic. Responsibilities include troubleshooting, calibration of instrumentation, valve and transmitter maintenance, and supporting project work with drawings and documentation.

The role requires strong technical competence, ability to work independently, and on-call availability for 24/7 operations in hazardous environments.

Qualifications

Educational background in Instrumentation, Process Controls or electrical apprenticeship with strong controls background.
Five years minimum experience in instrumentation or electrical maintenance with controls focus.
Oil and gas field experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot/repair and perform preventative maintenance on gas turbine drivers and related systems.
Understand and tune anti-surge controls and PID controllers.
Maintain and calibrate transmitters, sensors, and instrumentation.
Troubleshoot and repair alarm/shut down systems in hazardous atmospheres and with PLCs/HMI.
Perform control system installation, drawings as-builts and related documentation.
Coordinate with operations and maintenance teams for problem solving.
