Xcel Energy is seeking a Senior Engineer in Denver, Colorado, to apply extensive technical expertise and lead projects of moderate to large size. The role supports operations, maintenance, testing and regulatory activities with field engineering oversight and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering from ABET accredited curriculum.
• 0+ years relevant engineering experience.
• EIT/FE (Engineer in Training/Fundamentals of Engineering) preferred.
• PE (Professional Engineer) registration may be required depending on business need.

Responsibilities

• Lead multiple projects of moderate to large size or portions of major projects.
• Provide field engineering oversight for testing, installation, inspections and commissioning.
• Prepare bid documents, complete technical evaluations, and make recommendations.
• Mentor less experienced engineers and coordinate with internal and external teams.
