Job summary

Xcel Energy Inc. is seeking a staff/senior-level engineer to apply engineering principles across projects and provide technical guidance.

The role includes collaboration with multiple teams and outside customers, with opportunities to lead non-critical projects under supervision and grow within the organization. The successful candidate will operate under general direction, develop solutions, and participate in budgeting and forecasting activities as part of project support.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited engineering degree required.
• 2+ years of relevant engineering experience with broad knowledge in the specialty area.
• EIT/FE strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to lead small-medium projects and provide guidance to junior engineers.

Responsibilities

• Apply technical standards, principles, theories, and concepts to complex engineering tasks.
• Develop technical documentation including designs, tests, calculations, and reports.
• Provide ongoing technical support for project activities across Operations, Maintenance, testing/diagnostics & Regulatory.

Education

ABET-accredited engineering degree (Electrical, Mechanical, or Chemical)
