Job summary

PPL Corporation's Rhode Island Energy unit seeks a Gas Supply Planning Analyst to execute procurement and analytical tasks supporting gas supply planning and regulatory filings. You will build data models, generate dashboards, and provide insights for portfolio optimization and testimony preparation.

Role requires a bachelor’s in a technical/analytical field and experience with Excel-based analysis; familiarity with gas markets and regulatory processes is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in data analytics, econometrics, quantitative finance, mathematics, or related analytical discipline.
• Bachelor’s Degree in a technical discipline with additional relevant experience considered for senior levels.
• Proficient user of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat.

Responsibilities

• Execute and manage daily, monthly, and seasonal gas procurement and supply transactions.
• Assess gas supply arrangements for pipelines, storage, and peaking capacity procurement.
• Analyze large data sets to identify patterns, quality issues, and uncertainties in analyses.
• Update and maintain complex spreadsheet models used for planning and reporting.
• Support data requests with specialized analysis and dashboards.
• Develop reports using the gas management system.
• Support portfolio optimization through spreadsheet analyses.
• Provide analytical support for regulatory filings with state authorities.
• Sponsor and support testimony related to data analyses.
