Job summary

ENSTAR Natural Gas Company in Alaska invites applications for a Gas Supply Analyst to support the Gas Supply department, forecasting, demand analysis, and contract management. You will work with internal and external stakeholders, monitor gas markets, and help develop short- and long-term supply plans.

Requires a Bachelor's degree in engineering, math, statistics, finance, or economics or related experience; strong Excel; 2-5 years of analytical experience; driving license; and ability to pass

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, mathematics, statistics, finance, economics or related field or equivalent work experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ability to learn new systems.
• 2-5 years’ analytical or industry experience; forecasting/modeling preferred.
• Familiarity with natural gas markets or energy industry practices preferred.
• Must have a valid Alaska Driver’s License and meet ENSTAR Driving Policy requirements.
• Ability to pass background, past employment, credit, drug, and driving checks.

Responsibilities

• Update and maintain systems to monitor, review, and analyze gas demand.
• Update and maintain systems to monitor, review, and analyze gas supply market.
• Support gas day/hour forecasting and nominations systems.
• Support development and maintenance of supply, storage, and transportation plans.
• Maintain contract records and assist with gas supply and storage contracts administration.
• Monitor market news, tariffs, and regulatory filings to keep the team informed.
• Assist in training materials for daily gas forecasting and purchasing procedures.
• Provide Gas Supply support to Regulatory and Accounting teams.
• Coordinate with internal departments and external stakeholders (gas producers, pipelines, other utilities).
• Support ENSTAR’s transportation customers and regulatory/commercial compliance monitoring.
