Job summary
ENSTAR Natural Gas Company is seeking an Engineer to join our Engineering team in Alaska. This role supports the design, construction, operation, and maintenance of natural gas distribution and transmission systems, while providing engineering analysis, project management, and technical support.
The ideal candidate will design facilities, prepare calculations, manage projects end-to-end, and coordinate with contractors and regulators.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent required.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to interpret plans and perform engineering calculations.
- Experience with design, construction, and maintenance of distribution and transmission systems.
Responsibilities
- Design and evaluate natural gas distribution and transmission facilities.
- Prepare engineering calculations, drawings, specifications, and cost estimates.
- Manage projects through planning, design, construction, and closeout.
- Coordinate with contractors, regulators, and stakeholders.
- Provide technical support to operations and maintenance personnel.
- Ensure compliance with standards and regulations.
- Support long-term infrastructure planning.
