Job summary

ENSTAR Natural Gas Company in Anchorage seeks a Regulatory Financial Analyst to join the Rates and Regulatory team, providing financial analysis, modeling, and forecasting to support regulatory filings and strategic planning.

You will work on gas sales, gas purchasing, and revenue forecasts, while maintaining data integrity and contributing to testimony and tariff filings. Strong Excel and regulatory knowledge are essential.

Qualifications

• College degree in Accounting or related field.
• Three to five years of related work experience; auditing, utility or regulatory experience preferred.
• CPA or CMA candidate preferred.
• Must possess a valid Alaska driver's license and be able to operate a vehicle under ENSTAR policy.

Responsibilities

• Provide financial and economic analysis to support company and department objectives, including strategic planning and pricing options.
• Provide financial and statistical analysis from accounting, billing, and data systems.
• Update and develop complex models to support regulatory filings and strategic planning.
• Assist in preparing annual gas sales, gas purchasing, and revenue forecast for gas cost adjustment.
• Resolve data inconsistencies among sources and analyze trial balances.
• Draft testimony and tariff filings to accompany financial analysis.
• Monitor regulatory filings and matters of other Alaska utilities.
• Support other regulatory department functions.
