Job summary

Eco-Energy Natural Gas, LLC seeks an experienced Storage Field Operator to manage daily operations of an underground natural gas storage facility in Southern Indiana. The role covers wells, gathering systems, compression, gas treating, metering, and pipelines, with emphasis on safety and reliability.

You will monitor injection/withdrawal, perform rounds, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements while contributing to SOP development and safety initiatives.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in natural gas operations (compression, pipeline, storage, production, or midstream).
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Working knowledge of compressors, pipelines, gas measurement, valves, pressure systems, etc.
• Understanding of safety and regulatory requirements applicable to natural gas facilities.
• Experience developing or implementing operating procedures and safety programs.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to respond to operational issues and emergencies outside normal working hours when required.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily operations of the underground natural gas storage facility, including wells, gathering systems, compression equipment, gas treating systems, metering equipment, and associated pipeline infrastructure.
• Ensure safe/reliable injection & withdrawal in coordination with commercial and operational requirements.
• Monitor facility performance, pressures, flow rates, gas quality, and operational integrity.
• Perform routine field rounds and inspect equipment for leaks, abnormal operating conditions, and mechanical integrity.
• Perform startup, shutdown, seasonal operations, and emergency response activities.
• Maintain operational readiness during peak winter withdrawal periods.
• Assist with the implementation and maintenance of a strong safety culture throughout the facility.
• Assist with employee training, safety meetings, and operational briefings.
• Work with leadership on work scheduling, task assignments, and contractor coordination.
