Job summary

RECONN is hiring Utility Inspection Technicians in Millville, NJ. You will inspect gas meters for leaks and corrosion, fill out required paperwork, and report on-site at shift start times. Training is provided and overtime/weekends may be required. A reliable vehicle is needed if you opt to use personal transport.

Qualifications

Proficient at using current technology; smartphone, tablet
Must be able to communicate effectively in one-on-one and group settings
Ability to work long hours and weekends
Must be able to work outdoors in all types of weather conditions; outdoor experience preferred
Must be available to work overtime and weekends (as needed)
Must pass a drug screen
Valid driver's license and safe driving record required
Work well within a group, as well as individually
Ability to use simple hand tools
Ability to read utility maps
Must have a reliable vehicle

Responsibilities

Inspect gas meters for leaks and corrosion through visual inspection and data collection.
Complete all required paperwork/data, electronically or on paper, for each inspection.
Report to the assigned work area on time at the start of each shift.
Identify abnormal operating conditions on-site and document findings accurately.
