Job summary

RECONN is hiring Utility Inspection Technicians in Millville, NJ. You will inspect gas meters for leaks and corrosion, fill out required paperwork, and report on-site at shift start times. Training is provided and overtime/weekends may be required. A reliable vehicle is needed if you opt to use personal transport.

• Valid driver's license and safe driving record required
• Work well within a group, as well as individually
• Ability to use simple hand tools
• Ability to read utility maps
• Must have a reliable vehicle

Responsibilities

• Inspect gas meters for leaks and corrosion through visual inspection and data collection.
• Complete all required paperwork/data, electronically or on paper, for each inspection.
• Report to the assigned work area on time at the start of each shift.
• Identify abnormal operating conditions on-site and document findings accurately.

Utility Inspection Technicians are responsible for checking gas meters for leaks and corrosion.This includes visual inspection and ensuring all required paperwork / dataare completed. Meter Inspection Technicians will be required to report to their respective work area on time at the startof each shift. While on-site,the technician will be responsible for identifying any abnormal operating conditions along with accurately filling out all forms associated with the inspection visit (form may be electronic or paper).

We are currently hiring throughout Millville, NJ.

The starting pay is $14.75/hr. An additional $5/hr., after training, will be provided to those who choose to use a personal vehicle over a company vehicle ($14.75/hr. +$5/hr.). Must have a reliable vehicle to use for work purposes if this payment option is desired.

These are daytime, full-time positions and overtime may be required. Instructor led training will be provided. This position may require you to work weekends.
