Job summary

USIC is hiring Utility Inspection Technicians to inspect gas meters for leaks and corrosion. You will perform on-site visual checks, complete forms, and report any abnormal conditions.

Training is provided and overtime/weekend work may be required; a valid driver\'s license and reliable vehicle are needed if you choose the personal-vehicle option. The role is full-time, daytime, in Millville, NJ, with starting pay of $14.75/hour and an additional $5/hour if using a personal vehicle after

Qualifications

• Must be proficient with current technology (smartphone/tablet).
• Able to communicate effectively in one-on-one and group settings.
• Willing to work long hours and weekends.
• Must be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Must pass a drug screen and have a valid driver\'s license.

Responsibilities

• Inspect gas meters for leaks and corrosion and complete required paperwork.
• Report to assigned work area on time at start of each shift and work on-site.
• Identify abnormal conditions and accurately fill out inspection forms (electronic or paper).
• Overtime and weekend work may be required and training is provided.

Utility Inspection Technicians are responsible for checking gas meters for leaks and corrosion.This includes visual inspection and ensuring all required paperwork / dataare completed. Meter Inspection Technicians will be required to report to their respective work area on time at the startof each shift. While on-site,the technician will be responsible for identifying any abnormal operating conditions along with accurately filling out all forms associated with the inspection visit (form may be electronic or paper).

We are currently hiring throughout Millville, NJ.

The starting pay is $14.75/hr. An additional $5/hr., after training, will be provided to those who choose to use a personal vehicle over a company vehicle ($14.75/hr. +$5/hr.). Must have a reliable vehicle to use for work purposes if this payment option is desired.

These are daytime, full-time positions and overtime may be required. Instructor led training will be provided. This position may require you to work weekends.
