RECONN is seeking a Utility Inspection Technician to perform indoor inspections and field checks of gas meters and pipes. Responsibilities include entering facilities, performing visual inspections, and completing required paperwork accurately.

The role requires safety awareness, ability to work outdoors in varying conditions, and a willingness to work overtime, weekends, and on-call shifts. Training is provided, with potential for full-time, daytime work.

• Able to stand and walk for long periods of time on varying terrain; lift heavy items up to 75 lbs.
• Proficiency with technology.
• Able to communicate clearly with colleagues, customers, contractors, and homeowners.
• Able to pass a drug screen (safety-sensitive position).
• Valid driver's license and a safe driving record.

Responsibilities

• Report to the work area on time at the start of each shift.

The starting pay for this position is $24-$32/hr., depending on experience. New technicians will be moved to $25/hr. once fully qualified and working independently in the field and $26/hr. after reaching their first anniversary date.

Utility Inspection Technician: Responsible for entering commercial and residential facilities to check gas meters and pipes for leaks and corrosion. This includes visual inspection and ensuring all required paperwork/data are completed. Meter Inspection Technicians will be required to report to their respective work area on time at the start of each shift. While on-site, the technician will be responsible for identifying any abnormal operating conditions along with accurately filling out all forms associated with the inspection visit (the form may be electronic or paper).

These are daytime, full-time positions and overtime may be required. Instructor-led training will be provided. This position may require you to work weekends.

• Proficiency with technology

• Able to pass a drug screen (this is a safety-sensitive position)
