Job summary

RECONN is hiring a Utility Inspection Technician to inspect gas meters for leaks and corrosion, perform visual checks, and ensure accurate paperwork is completed. You will operate in Fort Wayne-area sites, report on time, and handle field data whether on paper or electronic forms. Training is provided and weekend work may be required.

The role is full-time, daytime, with potential overtime. A valid driver's license and ability to work outdoors in all weather are essential.

Qualifications

• Proficient at using current technology; smartphone, tablet.
• Must pass a drug screen.
• Valid driver's license and safe driving record.

Responsibilities

• Check gas meters for leaks and corrosion.
• Perform visual inspections and complete required paperwork/data.
• Report to the work area on time at the start of each shift.
• Identify abnormal operating conditions and document findings.
• Possibly work weekends and overtime as needed.

While on-site, the technician will be responsible for identifying any abnormal operating conditions along with accurately filling out all forms associated with the inspection visit (form may be electronic or paper).We are currently hiring throughout the Fort Wayne area.The starting pay is $20.00/hr.These are daytime, full-time positions and overtime may be required. Instructor led training will be provided.
