Job summary

Enerflex Ltd. in Houston seeks a Retrofit applications engineer to provide conceptual engineering, cost estimating, and proposal preparation for gas processing equipment, including modular refrigeration, compressor, and power generation units.

You will interpret customer needs, develop process simulations, estimate costs and schedules, and prepare technical and commercial proposals while ensuring compliance with codes and Enerflex's HSE policy.

Qualifications

• BS Engineering degree preferred, other specs considered.
• Minimum 4 years of relevant work experience.
• Experience with design of natural gas compression, processing, or treating equipment.
• Ability to develop process simulations using HYSYS, SAP, CAD or similar software.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office.
• Fluency in English.
• Knowledge of mechanical design, thermodynamics, chemical processing, and instrumentation & controls.
• Strong time management and multi-tasking abilities.
• Ability to generate alternative solutions and maintain customer relationships.
• Self-motivated, team oriented, and quick learner.

Responsibilities

• Interpret customer needs and project specifications to optimize solutions.
• Prepare system process simulations and select equipment.
• Generate cost and schedule estimates and assess design fit.
• Prepare technical and commercial proposals with drawings and diagrams.
• Develop execution plans and evaluate suppliers and resources.
• Maintain relations with suppliers, clients, and stakeholders.
• Stay current with global codes and standards.
