Job summary

Tallgrass MLP Operations, LLC is seeking a field-oriented technician responsible for the installation, operation, and maintenance of natural gas liquid processing plants and related gas/liquid pipeline facilities. The role requires mechanical aptitude, safety emphasis, and the ability to work with a team under strict deadlines.

Responsibilities include operating compressors and pumps, monitoring process variables, and performing routine maintenance.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required; two years of relevant experience may substitute for a degree.
• Knowledge of compressor/pump station operations, gas/liquid processing, and operating costs.
• Willingness to achieve and maintain Operator Qualifications (OQ) and progression requirements.

Responsibilities

• Operate compressors, engines, turbines, pumps, seals, valves and related equipment.
• Monitor process variables (pressure, temp, flow) to achieve desired results.
• Start/stop/operate engines, pumps, and auxiliary equipment to maintain parameters.
• Assist in planning and performing maintenance and repairs on equipment.
• Ensure cost-effective and efficient performance of gas and liquid processing units.
• Maintain product quality and manage transfers to storage and pipelines.
• Communicate with control centers and other operating groups as needed.
• Complete documentation and participate in safety programs.
