Job summary

Kinder Morgan is seeking an Operations Specialist at Station 204 in Columbus Junction, IA to operate and maintain pipelines, compressors, and auxiliary equipment. The role involves Monday–Friday hours with rotating on-call nights and weekends, and possible 12‑hour shift work during seasonal cycles.

You will diagnose, repair, and service engines, pumps, valves, and instruments; supervise third‑party work; ensure safety and compliance; and coordinate with landowners and public officials.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Basic computer skills (MS Office, operating systems).
• Basic math skills and the ability to perform calculations.
• Knowledge of operating costs and best practices with equipment.

Responsibilities

• Start, stop, and operate engines/pumps within defined operating parameters.
• Perform minor electrical maintenance.
• Diagnose and repair engines, turbines, pumps, seals, and valves.
• Install, service and maintain valves, pipeline appurtenances, corrosion control systems, and storage equipment.
• Maintain facilities and equipment, perform safety and regulatory duties.
