Job summary

Kinder Morgan seeks an Operations Specialist based at the West Winfield compressor station (TGP West Winfield). You will operate and maintain natural gas compressor units, power generation equipment, and pipeline facilities, ensuring safe, compliant performance.

You will join a proactive team, perform routine service, troubleshoot equipment, and manage on-call duties. Applicants must live within 30 minutes of the site and be prepared for night/weekend shifts.

Qualifications

• Ability to organize, plan, document, and complete work with minimal supervision.
• Active participation in safety programs and initiatives.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Comfort with on-call duties and rotating shifts to maintain system integrity.
• Valid driver’s license and driving record satisfactory to the company.

Responsibilities

• Maintain safe operation of compressor units, engines, and related equipment.
• Start, stop and operate engines to meet parameters and customer demands.
• Identify malfunctions and take corrective action when safe to repair.
• Follow site procedures and identify improvement opportunities.
• Lead pipeline pigging activities and assist with ILI as needed.
• complete reports and documentation for record keeping.
• Perform limited repairs to facility equipment and assist with maintenance.
• On-call duties and rotating shifts; communicate with team and service providers.
