Job summary

Consolidated Edison Company of New York is seeking a financial analyst to partner with operating areas to develop, track, and manage operational and financial plans. The role focuses on identifying cost improvements and supporting forward-looking decision-making for Gas Operations and related portfolios.

The analyst will deliver monthly and weekly stakeholder reports, participate in capital optimization, and coordinate budgets and forecasts with PMO, Construction, and Engineering teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in a quantitative field with 2+ years of relevant work experience.
• 2 years demonstrated quantitative experience.
• 2 years demonstrated leadership and communication experience.
• Understanding of FP&A function, objectives, and deliverables.
• Proficient use of Microsoft Office.
• Understanding of basic accounting principles (income statement, balance sheet).

Responsibilities

• Partner with PMO and Construction to develop, track, and monitor current working estimates for projects in Gas Operations capital and retirement portfolios.
• Provide monthly and weekly reports to stakeholders, perform spend driver analysis.
• Participate in capital optimization and governance processes.
• Attend key customer meetings, review forecast assumptions and provide recommendations.
• Enter budget information into the budget system and update integrated portfolio management system as required.
• Perform data validation and reconciliation for financial reports.
• Support PMO and Construction in reviewing accruals and payments.
• Coordinate with Operations, Engineering, and PMO to gather inputs for budgets, forecasts, and filings.
• Assist in automation of FP&A reports and tracking tools to improve efficiency.
• Perform additional duties to support organizational objectives.
