Job summary

Consolidated Edison Company of New York, Inc. is seeking an Analyst to provide analytical, technical, statistical and administrative support to the Gas Distribution Engineering Organization.

The candidate must be capable of working independently as well as in teams and will be required to travel to various locations throughout the Con Edison service territory. The role emphasizes developing and maintaining SQL queries, dashboards in Power BI, and Python-based data processes to support reporting,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 2 years of work experience in operations, IT, data analytics, or related field; or
• Associate's degree and 4 years of work experience in IT, data analytics, operations, or related field; or
• High School Diploma/GED and 5 years of work experience in IT, data analytics, operations, or related field.
• Experience in data analytics, data governance, database management, or related field is required.
• Strong SQL skills for complex data extraction and analysis; proficiency in dashboard development with Power BI; and Python for data transformation are required.
• Ability to translate business requirements into technical reporting outputs; strong analytical and communication skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Interact with stakeholders to understand data needs and support reporting requirements.
• Analyze data across systems to identify trends, inconsistencies, and data quality issues.
• Develop and maintain SQL queries to extract, validate, and analyze data.
• Develop, maintain, and optimize dashboards and data extracts to support decision-making.
• Create Python-based processes for data transformation, automation, and analysis.
• Validate data, reconcile discrepancies, and improve data accuracy across systems.
• Support data quality metrics, documentation of business rules, and reporting standards.
• Maintain documentation related to data sources, workflows, and reporting logic.
