Job summary

Black Hills Energy is seeking a Gas Operations Technician to safely perform general gas distribution maintenance, operation, leak survey, odorization, CP and construction work in Glenwood Springs, CO.

The role requires residency within 30 minutes of the Glenwood Springs office and offers pay ranges by level (Level I/II/Senior). Candidates should have a high school diploma or equivalent and relevant experience. Benefits and equal opportunity employment are provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required for all levels.
• Formal experience in natural gas, construction, maintenance or related field is preferred for higher levels.
• Familiarity with gas operating safety procedures is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Perform general gas distribution system maintenance and operation.
• Conduct leak surveys and odorization, CP and construction work.
• Ensure proper material size to meet load requirements and pressure.
• Inspect and supervise gas contract construction activities.
