Job summary

Xcel Energy invites a student intern to support GOTS and Brighton operations, helping develop SOPs and clean up reports while following compliance-driven maintenance planning. The role involves collaboration with foremen and seniors to resolve open items and align with standards.

The internship begins May 31, 2027 and may extend beyond its initial term based on performance and business needs. Hybrid in-person work with limited travel is required.

Qualifications

• Current student, Junior or higher (as of Fall 2027).
• Enrolled in an ABET accredited college or university and pursuing a degree in Business or Engineering.
• Minimal travel across the state.
• Able to work full-time during the summer (up to 40 hours a week) / part time during the school year (up to 20 hours a week) in person per hybrid policy.

• Cleaning SAP reports
• Gather information for Standards
• Develop SOPs
• Clean up open issues and notifications
