Job summary

Eversource Energy is seeking a Gas Operations Planner to organize and manage the Gas Distribution field workload through forecasting, staffing and scheduling. The role develops short and long-term staffing models and ensures timely, cost-effective completion of capital work and compliance projects.

Responsibilities include creating district work plans, monitoring workload, and delivering management reports. Requires a Bachelor's degree and 3+ years in Gas Operations, with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Requires working knowledge of Distribution department activities including construction standards, maintenance procedures and regulations.
• Ability to use PC desktop applications (e.g. Microsoft Office, Work Management, spreadsheets).
• Strong analytical skills with workload planning and resource allocation experience.

Responsibilities

• Generates district work plans and schedules that ensure resources are available to meet workload demands.
• Monitors current and future workload to maximize productivity and control costs.
• Creates and maintains forecasting and staffing models for efficient resource use.
• Evaluates procedures and recommends changes to improve planning and scheduling efficiency.
• Works with Compliance Coordinators to distribute district compliance and mandated work.
• Ensures projects are executed and closed out timely and cost-effectively per policy.
• Develops time and cost schedules for district management.
• Prepares weekly and monthly workload status reports for management.
