Job summary

TC Energy Corp. in Virginia is seeking a Student Intern to support field operations related to the safe and reliable transportation of natural gas.

You will gain hands-on experience with compression equipment, field maintenance, troubleshooting, and operational procedures under supervision. You will work alongside experienced technicians, participate in site visits and inspections, and develop practical technical skills that support the safe and efficient delivery of energy across North America

Qualifications

Currently enrolled in an accredited Mechanical, Chemical, Pipeline, Automation, or related technical/trades program.
Completion of at least one academic term prior to the start of the work term in May 2027
Returning to full-time studies immediately following the work term
Availability to work full-time (40 hours per week) for the duration of the work term

Responsibilities

Support field operations while demonstrating TC Energy's core values of Safety In Every Step, Personal Accountability, One Team, and Active Learning
Assist with the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of natural gas compressors and related equipment
Gain hands‑on experience using field tools, equipment, and operational procedures
Learn and apply safety protocols and procedures for field work
Participate in site visits, equipment inspections, and project activities under supervision
Develop technical and problem‑solving skills applicable to a field technician role
