National Grid is seeking a Senior Supervisor for Gas Meter Operations in the Downstate NY area. The role leads a diverse union workforce to ensure safe, reliable gas meter services, coordinating with multiple internal teams and external agencies to meet program commitments and safety standards.

The position emphasizes leadership, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement, with a focus on collaboration across Gas Operations, Customer Metering Services, and Engineering.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of gas operations experience
• Strong data analysis and computer skills
• Valid driver’s license required
• Experience supervising a union workforce

Responsabilités

• Lead, coach, and engage a diverse union workforce, setting clear expectations and addressing conduct and attendance.
• Promote safety culture and accountability, enforce policies, and take corrective action when risks are identified.
• Serve as primary contact for internal and external stakeholders, ensuring timely communication and issue resolution.
• Plan, coordinate, and oversee gas meter operations programs including installation, testing, operation, repair, and maintenance of meters and related devices.
• Develop partnerships with Gas Operations, Customer Metering Services, Engineering, and other stakeholders.
• Oversee contractor, vendor, and consultant performance to align with scope and timelines.
