Job summary

Virginia Natural Gas is seeking a Meter Helper in Virginia Beach. This union position provides on-the-job training to progress toward Meter Repairman qualification. You will assist with installation, testing, and maintenance of gas measurement systems and support inventory and documentation using MV90 and Toughbook devices.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, basic technical knowledge, and a valid driver’s license, with overtime as needed. Typical schedule is Monday–Friday, 6:00 a.m.

Responsibilities

• Follow company safety policies and work with others to ensure safe, efficient operations.
• Operate equipment including field provers, differential testers, and Toughbook devices for work management.

• Report to work on time and be ready to perform duties at the workstation.
• Assist with inventory activities and general maintenance tasks.
• Adhere to company standards and regulatory requirements.
