Job summary

Virginia Natural Gas is seeking a Meter Helper to assist 1st and 2nd Class Meter Repairmen. You will receive structured on-the-job training to progress toward qualification and assist with installation, testing, calibration, and maintenance of gas measurement systems, including MV90, with strict safety standards.

This is a union role with a starting hourly rate of $25.46. The job involves inventory control, documentation, and operating Toughbook computers for work management.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• Basic technical knowledge.
• Pass the Company’s DOT physical.
• Ability to work overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to safety policies and procedures and works with others to ensure safe operations.
• Operates required equipment, including company vehicles and field provers.
• Performs data entry and documentation using Toughbook systems.
• Maintains inventory control and asset tracking.
• Follows instructions and communicates clearly and professionally.
• Works a 6:00 a.m.–2:30 p.m. shift, Monday to Friday.
