Job summary

Chesapeake Utilities Corporation is seeking a Measurement Technician II in Orrville, OH. You will maintain and repair control stations, meters and RTUs, perform calibrations, monitor odorants, and support field inspection and procurement for measurement projects.

Role requires 5 years of instrumentation/equipment experience, high school diploma, and a valid license. You will work with Gas Control, SCADA, and engineering teams to ensure safety and reliability.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Five years' experience in instrumentation, electronics or gas equipment maintenance and operation.
• Valid Driver's License.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical aptitude and familiarity with industrial equipment and processes.
• Skilled in safe operation of hand tools and diagnostic tools.
• Ability to read engineering drawings, manuals, code and parts diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Performs general maintenance and troubleshooting of pressure control stations, district regulator stations, receipt points and delivery points.
• Investigates odorants and compliance of gas systems.
• Monitors fluids, filters, tanks and strainers via visual inspection.
• Performs calibrations of transmitters and volume correctors to regulatory standards.
• Inspects and provides corrective maintenance on sites, regulators and meters.
• Documents meter reading and reports discrepancies.
• Completes meter testing using meter provers and documents results.
• Communicates with Gas Control, SCADA, Construction and Engineering to address concerns.
• Participates in design reviews and selection of materials and equipment.
• Maintains inventory of critical materials.
• Evaluates Operator Qualifications of other technicians.
• Shadows new technicians to train them on procedures and protocol.
