Job summary

Chesapeake Utilities Corporation in Orrville is seeking a Measurement Technician II to maintain control stations, meter and regulating facilities, and to perform preventive maintenance across the geographic area.

The role requires five years of instrumentation or gas equipment experience, strong mechanical and electrical aptitude, and the ability to read drawings and communicate with diverse teams. A high school diploma is required, with extensive field work and safety focus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• Five (5) years’ experience in instrumentation, electronics or gas equipment maintenance and operation.
• Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude with troubleshooting experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and scheduled maintenance on gas measurement facilities and related equipment.
• Troubleshoot pressure control stations, regulators, meters, and RTUs.
• Inspect and maintain meters, regulators, valves, batteries, and actuators; ensure proper documentation.
• Document meter readings and report discrepancies.
• Coordinate with Gas Control, SCADA, Construction and Engineering teams to address concerns.
• Assist with design reviews and selection of materials and equipment.
