Job Summary:

SPL is growing and is currently looking for a Gas Measurement Technician I in Casper, WY. The Gas Measurement Technician I must be team oriented, proactive, and goal driven. This position is responsible for installing, maintaining, and calibrating gas meters and associated mechanical and/or electronic systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform job duties onshore and/or offshore, utilizing a company vehicle and/or transportation by helicopter, boat, seaplane, etc.;
  • Identify industry-related equipment and measurement terminology;
  • Install, configure, calibrate, and maintain primary and secondary devices;
  • Conduct multi-point verification and Orifice plate inspection;
  • Troubleshoot gas measurement systems;
  • Edit and maintain preventative maintenance schedule;
  • Procure spot or composite gas samples;
  • Transport hazardous and/or nonhazardous materials;
  • Witness allocation and custody transfer calibrations;
  • May be asked to train new employees on primary tasks;
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 months gas measurement experience required;
  • Must have intermediate knowledge of AGA/GPA/API Measurement Guidelines, BLM and COGCC regulatory requirements.

Education:

High school diploma or equivalent is strongly preferred. Applicable work experience will be considered in lieu of education.

Relocation:

This position is not eligible for relocation.

Travel Requirements:

Out of town and/or offshore stay is sometimes required up to and including 7 consecutive days. May be required to be part of the "On Call" program on a rotating schedule. These hours can be extended into weekends and/or holidays.

Work Schedule:

This position will work 8-16 hours Monday-Friday in SPL’s Casper, WY location. This position is subject to overtime availability to meet deadlines.
