Job summary

Algonquin Power & Utilities Corp. is seeking a gas measurement technician to operate and maintain meter/ regulating stations across transmission and distribution systems. You’ll perform measurement tests, calibrations, and inspections, ensuring regulatory compliance and safety procedures.

The role requires a high school diploma and 4 years of gas measurement/maintenance experience, a valid driver’s license, and ability to work outdoors in all weather. DOT/PHMSA screenings may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and four years natural gas measurement, construction and maintenance or service field experience.
• Must obtain and maintain any other required OQs and classroom training or certifications within six months.
• Requires a valid driver’s license in accordance with Company standards.

Responsibilities

• Operate, maintain, test, and calibrate measurement and control facilities and systems.
• Assist with meters (diaphragm, turbine, rotary, orifice, ultrasonic, coriolis)
• Support RTU and SCADA equipment maintenance and calibration
• Oversee gas odorization equipment and quality analysis devices
• Complete safety and regulatory documentation and reporting.
