Job summary

Atmos Energy Corporation is seeking a MIC Tech Gas Measurement professional to operate and maintain measurement facilities across field locations. You will perform inspections, calibrations, and tests on meters and related equipment, ensuring accuracy and regulatory compliance.

The role requires a high school diploma (or equivalent) with several years of gas measurement experience, a valid driver’s license, and strong communication, numeric, and computer skills.

Qualifications

• Educational/Experience: High school diploma or equivalent, and three years natural gas measurement, construction and maintenance and/or service field experience; or equivalent.
• Internal Applicants: Completion of MIC Tech courses prior to applying.
• Requires a valid driver's license in accordance with company standards.
• Communication skills: Ability to communicate with internal/external customers to obtain and/or provide explanations and/or information.
• Numeric skills: Ability to perform complex calculations related to measurement principles and concepts.
• Computer skills: Advanced knowledge of software applications and multiple technologies to create documents, reports and/or graphics.

Responsibilities

• Operate, maintain, test, and calibrate measurement, regulating and/or instrumentation and control facilities and systems.
• Respond to natural gas and other emergencies.
• Complete and maintain records and reports to comply with Company and regulatory requirements.
• Inspect, test, calibrate and maintain meters and related equipment (diaphragm, turbine, ultrasonic, coriolis).
• Coordinate and perform measurement tests with third party companies to assure measurement integrity and accuracy.
• Monitor natural gas quality to ensure contract compliance and enforce as needed.
• Investigate balancing systems to improve results and meet targets.
