Job summary

Kinder Morgan is seeking a Measurement/Mechanical Engineer to support Intrastate Natural Gas pipeline projects through design, sizing, and field collaboration. You will help develop measurement solutions, select equipment, and document calculations to support safe and compliant operation.

The role requires collaboration with multiple departments, strong communication, and the ability to travel to project sites as needed, contributing to timely project completion and operational reliability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering required.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience with gas measurement design.
• Experience and knowledge in design, sizing, and selection of piping, fittings, valves, flow meters, etc.
• Working knowledge of natural gas measurement standards (49 CFR Part 192, ASME B31.8, AGA, API, GPA).
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and P&IDs; create BOMs and schematics.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering support in all areas of natural gas measurement and related equipment.
• Size meters, pipe sizing, and select control valves and OPP devices; gas sampling and odorant design.
• Assist with commissioning and troubleshooting of measurement equipment and systems.
• Prepare engineering reports, calculations, studies, and presentations.
• Coordinate with Operations, Engineering and Project Management to ensure project execution.
