Job summary

John Galt Staffing is seeking a licensed Engineering professional to join the Engineering Design group in Houston, TX. You will support interstate natural gas pipeline projects by sizing equipment and preparing BOMs, schematics, and reports.

Responsibilities include selecting meters, valves, and gas sampling equipment, ensuring code compliance (49 CFR Part 192, ASME B31.8, API, GPA), and collaborating with Operations to troubleshoot facilities. Travel around 25% is required.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering required, 5 years of gas industry experience preferred.
• Familiar with industry codes (49 CFR Part 192, ASME B31.8, API, GPA).
• Ability to read P&IDs, mechanical piping drawings, and BOMs.
• Ability to size and select meters, valves, piping components, and gas sampling equipment.
• Strong written and verbal communication; ability to prepare reports and presentations.
• Must be United States citizen and have a valid driver''s license; travel ~25%.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute measurement projects including scoping and equipment sizing.
• Select and size meters and related gas measurement equipment.
• Ensure compliance with codes and standards; evaluate design and operation of measurement facilities.
• Provide technical support to Operations and troubleshoot facilities.
• Create schematics and BOMs; prepare engineering reports and calculations.
