Job summary

USIC is seeking individuals for our Advanced Gas Operations division to locate gas lines and mark underground utilities. You will work in the field, using company-provided vehicles, and support damage prevention for critical infrastructure.

No prior locating experience is required, but safety and reliability are essential. We offer paid training, a company vehicle and tools, daily pay options, comprehensive insurance, 401(k) with match, and a structured career path.

Qualifications

• Able and willing to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Available to work overtime, weekends, and on-call shifts as needed.
• Ability to travel locally during the business day; some out-of-area or overnight travel may be expected.
• Able to pass a drug screen (safety-sensitive position).
• Valid driver's license and a safe driving record.
• Able to stand and walk for long periods; lift heavy items up to 75 lbs.
• Proficiency with technology; read locate tickets, maps, prints; basic math.

Responsibilities

• Use locating equipment to determine the location of gas lines in a designated area and mark the area with paint and flags to prevent damage to utility infrastructure.
• Some hand digging to unearth gas lines may be required.
• Follow all company, client, state, and federal damage prevention guidelines.
• As a technician, you may locate other utilities in addition to gas lines, depending on the project.
