Greenville Utilities is seeking a Gas Intern (Temporary Part-Time) to assist the Gas Distribution Engineer with gas system engineering duties, bid document preparation, and project management support. The role supports analyses of the gas network and coordination with operations staff on design and code compliance.
The position requires up to 12 hours per week with flexible scheduling; enrollment in a BS in Engineering or Engineering Technology and a valid driver's license are required.

Under general direction and supervision of the Gas Distribution Engineer, the ideal candidate will assist in engineering duties associated with the gas system. Candidate will assist with performing various analyses of the gas system utilizing present network analysis software; working with engineering and operations staff on the design and code compliance of the gas distribution system; and assisting staff with the planning and execution of projects for the gas distribution system, liquefied natural gas (LNG) facility, compressed natural gas (CNG) facility, cathodic protection and supervisor control and data acquisition (SCADA) systems and assist with special projects as required.
It is expected that the position will require a minimum of 12 hours per week, with flexible scheduling available.
