Job summary

New Jersey Resources Corp. through LEAF River is seeking an Operator to manage gas handling, leaching systems and related equipment to sustain required pressures in high-pressure natural gas and water/brine systems.

The role includes on-call duties, shift work, and collaboration with field techs and customers. Responsibilities include equipment operation, inspections, safety shutdowns, data monitoring, and reporting.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience maintaining equipment and operations related to leaching and/or natural gas facilities.
• Knowledge of gas pipeline safety rules and OSHA standards.
• Basic knowledge of leaching, smugging, and gas handling/processing equipment.
• Knowledge of natural gas pipeline components and gas processing equipment.
• Mathematical proficiency and ability to prepare clear written reports.

Responsibilities

• Start, stop, and regulate gas handling and leaching equipment to maintain pressures and flow.
• Inspect gas handling equipment and systems during shifts.
• Report major malfunctions or unsafe conditions.
• Coordinate safety shut downs during emergencies and notify field teams.
• Monitor SCADA data and operate equipment safely and efficiently.
