Job summary

Everforth Apex is seeking a Field Service Technician II to install, troubleshoot, maintain, and commission gas and flame detection systems across the Midwest. You will travel extensively, manage customer relationships, prepare quotes, and document service activities for billing and compliance.

The role requires 3+ years of mechanical/electrical/electronic experience and at least 1 year of field service, with a focus on low-voltage 24V DC systems.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3+ years mechanical, electrical or electronic experience.
• 1+ year field experience as a service technician.
• Experience with low-voltage 24V DC systems.
• Willingness to travel up to 90% as required by customer needs.
• Ability to work independently in customer-facing situations.
• Strong troubleshooting and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot, maintain, and commission gas and flame detection systems.
• Travel across the Midwest to support customers at industrial sites.
• Create detailed service reports and prepare quotes for work.
• Schedule jobs and complete related administrative tasks.
• Maintain inventory of tools, parts, and company equipment.
• Work independently from a home office when not on-site.
